Premature Ejaculation Issues

          As mentioned in a previous page, Premature Ejaculation is one of the most common sexual issues faced by couples. Technically it could be argued there is no health issue at all since people with PE can live very satisfying lives outside of the bedroom with regards to health. Other than mental issues that could result from PE, it is not a reason to be concerned for ones physical health. It is not technically a disease. About the only thing to hold a measure to is the time it takes, but there is no set time that equals PE established. There is no agreement to what exactly constitutes as Premature Ejaculation, some doctors argue that it is not necessarily even an abnormal process. However, if what seems to be a quick release is bothering one or their partner it could be argued that he suffers from it.
          PE only affects men (obviously) but can affect a man at any stage of his adult life. It is most often found with younger men who are sexually inexperienced and whose youthful exuberance can sometimes take over. But this is not to say that it cannot happen with older men as well. Just because someone is sexually experienced does not mean that they will not face PE. Some people have seemingly always had it.
          It is actually possible for some men to achieve an orgasm but without the discharge involved. This is called Retrograde Ejaculation, a condition that occurs mostly in men who have had prostate surgery. There is also a problem called Impaired Ejaculation which can result from alcohol or certain medications often used in the treatment of depression. Certain herbs that naturalists have used in helping people with PE are passiflora, choerulea (chrysin).
